What I can do for you
I build websites and web applications. I can work on personal, professional, or commercial projects and ensure an optimized experience on any screen size.
From the beginning, it is important that your project is carefully planned with the user in mind. Employing user-centered design methods, I can make your final project enjoyable to use, efficient, and accessible to your targeted audience, all while meeting business objectives along the way.
With my experience in coding and User Interface design, I can help you make your ideas a reality.
Working With Me
I can offer services to help plan, design, build, and publish the live product. From the beginning, we will work directly together to understand the goals of your project, the intended audience, and any design specifics you need.
Working with initial documentation from planning, I will create a design for your project depending on the specifications. From a simple redesign/refresh to a full-on branding and style guide, I can design, present/prototype, and iterate quickly on project designs.
I will then go and build your project and provide you with updates along the way or whenever your milestones may dictate scheduling so you are always in the know of the project's state.

My Story...
I currently live in Lexington, Kentucky with my wife Sarah and our cat, Hunter (see adorable image). I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and relocated to Lexington to attend school at the University of Kentucky, where I studied music performance (focus on percussion) and have been here ever since!
For years I worked as a Stage Manager and Live Sound Engineer for multiple venues in Lexington. Wanting to be involved in music more directly, I pursued music education, teaching private lessons and percussion at Middle Schools and High Schools in the Cincinnati area. While teaching, I still performed and picked up the occasional freelance gig, but eventually I wanted to shift out of music education into a new career. Back in college I had a mild interest in coding that never led to anything at the time. I decided to dive back in, now having more time to research and learn about this exciting new field. Lowe and behold, a passion was born!
I immediately fell in love. I couldn't help but feel the joy for learning, creating, problem solving, and a deep affinity for coding languages and theory. I dove in headfirst taking online courses, going through tutorials, and basically absorbing as much material as possible. I have continued to learn, expand my skillset, and hone my craft ever since.
One of the most appealing aspects to coding is how broad the field is. There is so much to learn and so much mental stimulation and engagement that takes place every single day. Whether it be a new framework, file architecture, new language, or method of programming, everyday working in this field has brought something new, exciting, and fulfilling.
